About Hein Gerd Triemstra

My adventure started in a large family with 9 children, an environment where social interaction had a big influence on behavior and personality. “Every child is unique.”, my father had painted on the wall of the Jenaplan primary school, where he was headmaster; a text that turned out to be significant for my worldview. This phrase was a bedrock of my whole life and made talent development a fundamental part of my life, but I only became aware of this at a later age. A Montessori education turned out to be a logical step in my education with attention to the individual’s learning route and pace. I followed my heart and took all the space I needed in giving priority to my basketball development and earning my own money.

Every child is unique

Context-rich learning environments

In sports, education and various social contexts, I have learned to optimize, recognize and develop my own talents in various roles. At the age of 29, I had been a professional basketball player for many years. During my experience leading many basketball clinics at schools, I noticed how much joy I experienced when recognizing and helping develop potential – and it was so much more than just sporting talent.

I create interactive situations in which people playfully discover their talents and learn to find their natural place in this world

Recognizing the essence of every person

I became passionate about zooming in on the essence of every human being. As a coach, supervisor, educator and trainer, I have been able to create moments of inspiration by putting people in touch with their unique talents, to better recognize and develop them. Talent recognition is my greatest skill and I invite you to spend time with me learning about yourself and your relationship with the people around you.
